Great Romances of 2012

This was a good year for romance. In no particular order, I threw together a list of three romances I enjoyed in 2012, from books, TV shows, and movies.

Jacqueline and Lucas
from Easy by Tamarra Webber

This new adult romance is centered around Jacqueline shortly after she breaks off a long-term relationship. Lucas is a loner in her class and harbor secrets. I'm so bad at writing blurbs for other books, but I really loved the relationship between these two. Lucas has a heartbreaking past, and I loved reading about the two of them coming together through secrets and the trouble with Buck.

Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt
from Parks and Recreation (NBC)

These two are my favorite TV couple in my favorite comedy show! They go together so well, and I honestly couldn't get enough of them. They are cute and funny and that proposal. was. awesome! It was so perfect for their characters and, I admit it, I cried.

Suzy Bishop and Sam Shakusky
from Moonrise Kingdom (Wes Anderson)

This isn't your typical romance -- an offbeat film from Wes Anderson tells the story about two adolescents who run away from home to be together. They rely on each other through troubled families, foster homes, and a world that doesn't understand them. Their young love brings the town together as they search for the two during a storm. I thought the movie was perfection, I enjoyed every minute of it.

I know there are so many others, but these three really stood out to me!
